John and Melanie welcome you to stay at Exmoor Cottage Holidays, five lovely self-catering holiday rental cottages, converted from a former farm (known as "Town Tenement") in the quiet and peaceful village of Challacombe, and within the beautiful Exmoor National Park. The stone-built cottages are all well-appointed, full of charm and character, with log fires in the living rooms and private enclosed gardens outside.

We don’t just provide accommodation, but a beautiful place to stay with a very special atmosphere. We live next door to the cottages, and are usually available to help with any enquiries; we love sharing our knowledge of the area and are very happy to help you get the most from your stay. We can advise the best walks and places to visit, recommend local businesses, and usually offer (charged extra) towel hire, more logs and kindling, service wash and dry, and cottage cleaning.

The cottages are surrounded by wildlife gardens and there is a traditional pub and village shop within two minutes walk. Challacombe is an ideal central location from which to explore Exmoor and the spectacular coastline of North Devon and Somerset. The cottages are accessible from South Devon, Dorset and Cornwall and easy to reach from elsewhere, being only 50 minutes drive from the M5.
