| The large enchanting gardens are the perfect place to appreciate the changing seasons: the vibrant colours of the leaves in autumn; their crunch underfoot in the frosts of winter and the long succession of spring flowers. Sometimes there is the excitement of being snowed in for a day or so - but not as often as these pictures imply! | The cottages are very well equipped, full of charm and character and surrounded by large gardens with a delightful walk up and around Humphrey's Hill. There are good walks through the parish of Challacombe and breathtaking views and walks on the hills all around. The cottages are in a good central location for exploring Exmoor and the spectacular coastline of North Devon. They are available all year round, including Christmas and New Year, and can accommodate singles, couples, families, pets and large groups up to 20 people.
